The bottle was produced possibly using a two part moulding (front and back) and sealed and clamped using heat. Cap assembly and thread were inserted at the head end during production. The cap (black) would have been added and screwed on the doll afterwards.
In our next collectables auction we have a unique opportunity for a buyer to secure one of the original moulds for this product - perhaps they could even use it to make their own water bottles!
It is difficult to know how much the Combex Moulding is worth. Our sources tell us it is extremely rare as the Combex moulds would have been melted down and re-used for other designs.
