Guide to Selling at Auction

If we come to visit you at home, we will usually be in a van, so we can take the items there and then if you wish. We will give you an itemised receipt and all items are fully insured as soon as we take possession of them. If we collect on the same day as your free valuation collection is usually free.
We can also arrange a van to pick up your items at a later date, and as with all of our services the price will be very competitive.
For smaller collections we can arrange for Interlink to collect from your house as long as you don’t mind packing them into a suitable box yourself. This is normally charged at £10 including VAT per box.
Once we have your items we will sort, catalogue and photograph them, then contact you with the details to check you are happy before submitting the items to the soonest available auction.
We will suggest a conservative catalogue estimate for each lot, and it is up to you if you would like a fixed reserve price on your items. We will advise you if we think a reserve is required in the case of specialist items.
We have a very busy auction calendar so it is unlikely you will have to wait very long for your items to be auctioned, unless it is deemed necessary for them to be entered into a specialist sale.
We typically sell around 90% of the lots in each sale, so it is unlikely you will be disappointed on auction day!
You can attend the auction or advance viewing day in person if you wish, but it is not essential. With some auctions you can also watch the auction online with a live video/audio link to see how your items are performing on the sale day.
Assuming your items are all sold and have been paid for by the purchaser(s), we will pay you 21 days after the sale directly into your
bank account. A postal or email invoice will follow with a fully itemised list and breakdown of charges.
